1. What is my home worth in today’s market? 

The value of your home is constantly “moving” based on a variety of factors in the local real estate market. The 3 big external factors that drive the value are comparable homes (especially the ones recently sold), existing “competition” which are similar homes that are currently available for sale, along with organic buyer demand for homes in the area.

2. How long will it take to sell my home (even if I am just curious?)

While there are a variety of factors that influence the time it takes to sell a home, the two key drivers in our experience is related to organic buyer demand and the pricing strategy based on market conditions. While buyer demand and market conditions vary, a high-level proxy for the time it could take to sell a home can be estimated by the average trend of Days on Market (DOM). 

DOM is a statistic that the real estate community often uses to measure the number of days that a listing is “live” and available for sale before it is marked as “under contract”.
